- What made you watch F1?
- Drive to Survive (Netflix).
- What made you decide to come to the Japanese GP?
- We watched the race on the TV last year. We thought the Japanese crowd was the best and had so much fun. We decided it looks like a really fun circuit to come to.
- When and how did you buy the ticket?
- Only maybe two months ago on the Formula 1 store.
- Would you like to buy F1 tickets on a daily basis?
- I think as soon as we traveled here, we'd like to do the full three days anyway. Just the full…
- Where do you stay, and how did you arrange the hotel?
- Nagoya. There was a Facebook page called F1 Fans Going to Suzuka Track. I got a lot of information, particularly traveling on that. I booked on Booking.com for everything.
- Means of transportation/time required to/from Suzuka
- By train and the shuttle. I think it was an hour and a half.
- Did you have any trouble at Suzuka or in Japan?
- No. We don't speak Japanese, so it can be a little bit difficult. But people are very helpful. We just ask usually and get there. It's been good.
- What is your plan before/after Suzuka?
- We don't know. On the fly.
- What impresses you the most about Japan?
- I think about the people. The people, I've loved. Everyone's so super friendly and helpful. And the cherry blossoms.
-
- Name, Birthplace, Age

- What made you watch F1?
- As a kid, I just got interested in the motorsport and the speed of the sport and the action.
- What made you decide to come to the Japanese GP?
- Because of the Japanese. This is a fantastic place to come. It's a fantastic event, and everyone is so polite, and they are so welcoming for foreigners to come in and enjoy the sport with them. This is our fifth time we've come to Suzuka.

- We bought it from a ticket reseller, Goo Tickets. They are a ticket reseller based in Monaco because we couldn't buy from the Suzuka Circuit website this year. About five months ago, at the end of last year.
- Would you like to buy F1 tickets on a daily basis?
- Not for us. We've been coming here every day anyway, so we would do it every day.
- Where do you stay, and how did you arrange the hotel?
- Shiroko. Our Japanese friends, they helped us, and we have stayed there many times.
- Means of transportation/time required to/from Suzuka
- About 20-25 minutes by bus.
- Did you have any trouble at Suzuka or in Japan?
- No more buying things. Buying too many Japanese things.
- What is your plan before/after Suzuka?
- We flew into Tokyo and then went up to Sapporo for a week and across to Noboribetsu for onsen. Then, we came down and spent a few days in Nagoya. From here, we go back and spend a couple of days in Nagoya and then to Tokyo for a week or so.
- What impresses you the most about Japan?
- We've had no bad experiences. Ghibli Park was good. The onsen was good. Sapporo was lovely. It was still snowing. It was cold.

- Erick & Xavi, Mexico, 28 & 25
- What made you watch F1?
- Because I am really supportive of Checo, Sergio Perez, Red Bull. He's Mexican. And my father, my aunt, and my cousin are superfans of it, so of course I am.
- What made you decide to come to the Japanese GP?

- When and how did you buy the ticket?
- F1.com in January.
- Would you like to buy F1 tickets on a daily basis?
- I think it's better to have one ticket that gives you the opportunity to enter three times. Because if not, you need to print three pages and it's more complicated. Difficult. If you just have one, you are not worried about the other ones, or which one is the right one.
- Where do you stay, and how did you arrange the hotel?
- Nagoya. We used Booking.com.
- Means of transportation/time required to/from Suzuka
- One and a half hours from Nagoya to Suzuka Circuit Ino Station, then walked.

- Everything has been perfect. It's amazing. I really like how kind people are here. Train stations are clear. Washrooms are clean.

- We've had no bad experiences. Ghibli Park was good. The onsen was good. Sapporo was lovely. It was still snowing. It was cold.

- Where do you stay, and how did you arrange the hotel?

- Means of transportation/time required to/from Suzuka
- We got on a train to Shiroko station. It took an hour and a half.
- Did you have any trouble at Suzuka or in Japan?
- No, nothing. People are so nice to us. If they don't know English, they use translators like Google to communicate.
- What is your plan before/after Suzuka?
- Kyoto, Kobe, Osaka, Okinawa, and then Tokyo again.
- What impresses you the most about Japan?
- Ramen, I love it. Latin America is not safe for tourists. But Japan, it's very safe. At night, we don't have any fear or anything. It is beautiful.

- What made you watch F1?
- F1 cars are totally different from the production model, incomparably fast!
- What made you decide to come to the Japanese GP?
- A friend of mine visiting Japan for sightseeing likes F1 too. The timing was perfect.
- When and how did you buy the ticket?
- Get it from the official Suzuka site, a couple of months ago.
- Would you like to buy F1 tickets on a daily basis?
- There are people who are pressed for time and can only come for one day. A daily ticket would be good for them and may increase the box office numbers. Friday tickets should be sold at a lower price, right?
- Where do you stay, and how did you arrange the hotel?
- Hotel in Nagoya. Booking made through Airbnb.
- Means of transportation/time required to/from Suzuka
- Came to JR Suzuka Circuit Ino Station and walked from there. It took 1 hour and 45 minutes. Too far!

- What made you decide to come to the Japanese GP?
- It's close to Thailand. The weather is nice. I like Japan. I come here very often. It's the first time to see Japanese GP.
- When and how did you buy the ticket?
- Official website, six months ago.
- Would you like to buy F1 tickets on a daily basis?
- I think it's kind of good. It depends on which day you want to go. Which one do you want to visit? You can save the cost if somebody doesn't want to come every day.
- Where do you stay, and how did you arrange the hotel?
- Nagoya. We used Booking.com.
- Means of transportation/time required to/from Suzuka
- By train and walk. It took maybe an hour and a half.

- We were in Okinawa, so it's close and it's cheaper. This is my first race.
- When and how did you buy the ticket?
- Goo Tickets website. We bought them in January.
- Would you like to buy F1 tickets on a daily basis?
- It depends if they want to skip the practices or not. Like, if they were just here for the race and they don't care about qualifying or practicing, then yes, that would be good for them. But other than that, like us, we want to see everything, so we like the whole three-day ticket.
- Where do you stay, and how did you arrange the hotel?
- We stay at a hotel in Nagoya. I found it on Expedia.
- Means of transportation/time required to/from Suzuka
- By train. We got off at Shiroko station then we took the bus. Like, two hours.
- Did you have any trouble at Suzuka or in Japan?
- A lot of people know what they are doing, so we just kind of follow the people who know how to do stuff. We're just kind of like, they are coming over here. We're going to follow them over here.
- What is your plan before/after Suzuka?
- I've been to Tokyo and Kyoto before this, and I loved it. I love Japan. It's awesome.
- What impresses you the most about Japan?
- I like to drive. I like to drive around and it's very scenic. Here are the blossoms. I like the coastline. I like the train system. The train system really itches something in my brain for some reason.
-
- Name, Birthplace, Age
- Milla, Poland, 22
- What made you watch F1?
- Many reasons. Mainly him (friend). He likes Fernando Alonso a lot, and I like Max Verstappen very much. I watched it when he first started racing because he's a little bit older than me. But I was thinking like, oh, he's doing so well and he's so young because he was only 16 and, yes, I was just really impressed by him, and he brought me into F1. Yes, more or less like that.
- What made you decide to come to the Japanese GP?
- I've been to Silverstone in the UK, and we went together to Doha, Qatar, and now to Japan because we love Japan. I always wanted to come to Japan again. I came once when I was little, and I wanted to come back again. Also, just because it's just awesome. It's just so much nicer than most other Grand Prix. And, yes, I feel like people are so much nicer. The food is better and everything. It's just worth it.
- When and how did you buy the ticket?
- We bought the tickets online (F1 ticket) in February.
- Would you like to buy F1 tickets on a daily basis?
- I like to buy the three-day ones just because I like to see for practice and see where is the best area to sit and stuff like this. I like to just see, like, everything where it's a bit emptier. But I also think a lot of people would want to only come for the race because that's the biggest event. Maybe it would be good, I think. It would be good to have separate days as well.
- Where do you stay, and how did you arrange the hotel?
- In Nagoya, Comfort Hotel. We used Booking.com.
- Means of transportation/time required to/from Suzuka
- We took the shuttle bus from Shiroko. From Nagoya, we took the Kintetsu Line. About an hour and a half.
- Did you have any trouble at Suzuka or in Japan?
- There are a lot of people. But it's okay. We sometimes have to stand in line and things take a little longer, but it's fine. It's not a problem.
- What is your plan before/after Suzuka?
- We've already been to Osaka, Nara, Kyoto, and Nabari.
- What impresses you the most about Japan?
- We really, really liked Nara with the deer and with the temples and the nice – like you can go in the forest and everything. It was really, really nice. Kyoto was lovely. We went to Arashiyama, and it was really, really nice. We did a lot of walking in the forest and seeing nature. And Nagoya is my favorite now. I think it's so pretty. We arrived yesterday, but it's so amazing. We went to the science museum and everything. Everything is lovely.

- What made you watch F1?
- I started watching when I was young, Michael Schumacher and Ayrton Senna, and now I am a Lewis Hamilton fan.
- What made you decide to come to the Japanese GP?
- I didn't buy tickets when they first came out and then it was sold out. It was cheaper to come to the Japanese Grand Prix than to go to the Australian. I love Japan. Any excuse for a trip to Japan.
- When and how did you buy the ticket?
- F1 ticket in January.
- Would you like to buy F1 tickets on a daily basis?
- I prefer all three days because I like to watch everything. But some people might think it's better to skip some days.
- Where do you stay, and how did you arrange the hotel?
- In Nagoya, reserved by Booking.com.
- Means of transportation/time required to/from Suzuka
- I took two different trains: one from Nagoya to Yokkaichi and then the train from Yokkaichi to Suzuka Circuit Ino, and then walked for 25 minutes. It took 2 hours and 45 minutes because I boarded the first train and had a half-hour wait at Yokkaichi Station for the second one.
- Did you have any trouble at Suzuka or in Japan?
- No problems. Everything's good.
- What is your plan before/after Suzuka?
- Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo.
- What impresses you the most about Japan?
- Like the Pokémon Café and Nara to see the deer.
-
- Name, Birthplace, Age
- Fiona & Josh, UK (Hokkaido), 30 & 31
- What made you watch F1?
- My dad used to watch it, so I used to watch it. Then, she became a fan because she met me.
- What made you decide to come to the Japanese GP?
- There was a cheap flight from Sapporo to Osaka. But also, we love Japan, and we love being here. Everything is more exciting when you are in Japan.
- When and how did you buy the ticket?
- F1 ticket in December.
- Would you like to buy F1 tickets on a daily basis?
- Yes, that could be better for people. But we liked coming yesterday when it was really quiet, and we got to go on all the rides. Then, we like today how the seating is free so we can go to different places and try.
- Where do you stay, and how did you arrange the hotel?
- Seki (Kameyama City). I think just through Google Maps, Booking.com, something like that. We looked on quite a lot of websites saying that it was quite busy for public transport, so we thought we would rather go somewhere closer and rent a car. Then booked all the parking spots but difficult to find.
- Means of transportation/time required to/from Suzuka
- For a drive, but then maybe a 20-minute walk.
- Did you have any trouble at Suzuka or in Japan?
- It would have been maybe good to have more information about the parking when we booked the ticket. But that's my fault for booking it through F1, not through the Suzuka Circuit.
- What is your plan before/after Suzuka?
- We were in Osaka for a few days which we've been to before, but we did a few other things that we hadn't done before. Then, after this, we'll be flying back to Hokkaido because we're finishing up our work.
- What impresses you the most about Japan?
- We really like Niseko for the skiing and snowboarding. But we also like smaller places. We really like small towns as well. Kumano Kodo (Kansai area) we really liked as well, when we did hike there. Nozawaonsen (Nagano) was where we did our first season in Japan. That was really good.
-
- Name, Birthplace, Age
- William, US (Singapore), 64
- What made you watch F1?
- I've always enjoyed Formula 1 for a very long time. I don't know why. I just started following it maybe 30, 40 years ago and haven't stopped. Ayrton Senna was my hero. He still is my hero. But I was a big Senna fan.
- What made you decide to come to the Japanese GP?
- We wanted to come this year. They moved the calendar up this year, so we decided that it would be convenient to come, so that's why we chose Japan. I've always wanted to come to the Japan Grand Prix anyway.
- When and how did you buy the ticket?
- I bought the tickets in January through the F1 website.
- Would you like to buy F1 tickets on a daily basis?
- That will be more convenient for spectators. I have a brother who is coming here, and he wants just the one-day ticket. But because there are only three-day tickets available, it's becoming a little bit more difficult for him.
- Where do you stay, and how did you arrange the hotel?
- At the Marriott Courtyard in Nagoya. I've been to Nagoya a few times and I normally stay at that hotel, so that's how I found it.
- Means of transportation/time required to/from Suzuka
- It took too long. Not very convenient. We took the train from Nagoya Station and transferred at Yokkaichi and then walked for 25 minutes, and we walked all the way around and then had to go back over the bridge, so not very convenient. Signs weren't posted, so that could use some work.
- Did you have any trouble at Suzuka or in Japan?
- Getting from anywhere to this track seems to be difficult.
- What is your plan before/after Suzuka?
- I will go back to Tokyo and then on to Singapore.
- What impresses you the most about Japan?
- We're big Godzilla fans, so we went to see his statue in Tokyo, and we bought a few items. We did some walking around Nagoya yesterday, shopping, and that sort of thing. Lots of food. We are getting around and enjoying ourselves.

- When and how did you buy the ticket?

- Yes, because in the UK, at Silverstone, you can buy a ticket for each day. Some people, they would rather just come for the race.
- Where do you stay, and how did you arrange the hotel?
- We're staying in Nagoya. My son booked it on Booking.com.
- Means of transportation/time required to/from Suzuka
- One hour 30 minutes. By train to Suzuka Circuit Ino station and walking.
- Did you have any trouble at Suzuka or in Japan?
- We bought the wrong train ticket. We bought the local train ticket, not the limited express. But apart from that, the train service is faultless.
- What is your plan before/after Suzuka?
- Before we've been to Hiroshima, Kyoto, and Tokyo. And so, we go back to Tokyo and then we fly home to the UK on Tuesday.
- What impresses you the most about Japan?

- We love Japan. We love the cherry blossom, so we came a year ago for them. And having the F1 in spring is just perfect timing.
- When and how did you buy the ticket?
- As soon as they became available to us, we got them straightaway. From Formula 1 website.
- Would you like to buy F1 tickets on a daily basis?
- That's a tough one, yes. It really depends on the person I would think, because it would be a lot cheaper to be able to come just for a specific day instead of having to buy the full pass. But yes, for us, it was more convenient to get the three-day.
- Where do you stay, and how did you arrange the hotel?
- In Nagoya. Just through booking.com.
- Means of transportation/time required to/from Suzuka
- We took the Kintetsu Line and then we jumped on a shuttle bus. About an hour and a half to two hours.

- What is your plan before/after Suzuka?
- We are going to travel around Japan, so we are going to go all around Kyoto, Osaka, Hakata, Fukuoka. Then also go to Tokyo.
- What impresses you the most about Japan?
- Tokyo has a lot to offer, I think. Tokyo has a lot of fun things to do. There's just so much going on. Tokyo is awesome.
-
- Name, Birthplace, Age

- What made you watch F1?
- Because I like cars, and there's no better sport that shows cars like at the peak, at the best level possible. And because of Lewis Hamilton also. He's my favorite driver and Ferrari.
- What made you decide to come to the Japanese GP?
- Because my mother is here and she's in Tokyo, so I came to visit her and then the Grand Prix happened at the same time, so it was like two birds, one stone.
- When and how did you buy the ticket?
- One or two months ago. The app application.
- Would you like to buy F1 tickets on a daily basis?
- The first time I wanted to buy, I just wanted one day, but because it was three, I might as well get all three. It's a better experience to get three. I was not happy at first, but now I'm happy. Because I can watch practice, qualification, and the race, and it's a good price.
- Where do you stay, and how did you arrange the hotel?
- In Nagoya. Just through Agoda.
- Means of transportation/time required to/from Suzuka
- I landed in Tokyo today. From Tokyo, Tokyo Station, shinkansen to Nagoya, and then Nagoya to Shiroko. Then, the bus from Shiroko to here.

- There was a problem I think on the train, so we had to change the line. I'm not sure exactly what happened. My friend is the one that was telling me.
- What is your plan before/after Suzuka?
- In Tokyo only. I want to see some museums, galleries, and stuff.
- What impresses you the most about Japan?
- Tokyo has a lot to offer, I think. Tokyo has a lot of fun things to do. There's just so much going on. Tokyo is awesome.

- What made you watch F1?
- I grew up watching it and my family loves it. Just the drivers. She is not. She's here just with me.
- What made you decide to come to the Japanese GP?
- It's the first Grand Prix I've ever been to. It's very exciting. It was a 30th birthday present for me. You can always go to the UK or Germany. This is nice to go out and it's a great track. It's a great country. Explore somewhere new.
- When and how did you buy the ticket?
- In November, when it was released. Formula 1 website.
- Would you like to buy F1 tickets on a daily basis?
- I think it's more convenient because you could have chosen. I think having the option is better.
- Where do you stay, and how did you arrange the hotel?
- Hotels.com is where we booked it, but we did some research. Suzuka, Shiroko were sold out. I think you could stay in Kyoto as well. But Nagoya was the best, with the best trains and that seemed to be the most common. More people stay in Nagoya than anywhere else.
- Means of transportation/time required to/from Suzuka
- Train. Nagoya to Shiroko shuttle bus. It takes one hour and a half.
- Did you have any trouble at Suzuka or in Japan?
- No issues.

- When and how did you buy the ticket?
- I think as soon as I knew I would be coming to Japan, which was maybe two months ago or something like that through the Formula 1 website.
- Would you like to buy F1 tickets on a daily basis?
- I think it would be great. My father is coming with me, but he didn't want to come on Friday. But that would be very helpful for him. For me, I like coming all three days.
- Where do you stay, and how did you arrange the hotel?
- When I planned the trip, I searched a lot for different hotels in different cities. I ended up in Nagoya because I couldn't stay here in Suzuka, and I am staying at APA hotels. They are good.
- Means of transportation/time required to/from Suzuka
- I came by train. I had reserved seats because there are a lot of trains, but there are also a lot of people, so I reserved them a few days ago to make sure I had my tickets. I also have the tickets to go back to Nagoya. In total, about an hour and a half.

- Did you have any trouble at Suzuka or in Japan?
- It has been a little difficult to work the ticket machines to get tickets, especially for this event, because when we tried to buy, for instance, JR tickets at the ticket machine, there was no option for ¥1070, which is the price from Nagoya to Suzuka Suzuka Circuit Ino. And so, we couldn't figure out how to pay the proper amount. And so, we ended up having to go to the actual ticket booth and talk to somebody. It'd be really nice if there were more information about specifically how to purchase it with, like, maybe a video of somebody doing it on the ticketing machines.

- About 2 months ago. Using the Formula One website. It's the only way, really, in our country.
- Would you like to buy F1 tickets on a daily basis?
- I think we would still come for at least 2 days anyway. So, we've got the 3-day ticket. We didn't come yesterday because it's quite a tricky place to get to on the train.
- Where do you stay, and how did you arrange the hotel?
- Nagoya. We used Booking.com, and I just searched for the nearest hotel to the train station. So, we get up quite, quite late.
- Means of transportation/time required to/from Suzuka
- JR Line. 50 minutes on the train and then 20 minutes’ walk. That's it. There was no queue, no line.
- Did you have any trouble at Suzuka or in Japan?
- No. It's all very easy.
- What is your plan before/after Suzuka?
- We've been to Tokyo. We've been to Kyoto. So, we are now in Nagoya in the Grand Prix. And then we do fly out from Nagoya to Vietnam. We are going to lay on the beach in Vietnam.
- What impresses you the most about Japan?
- We've seen the cherry blossom. We saw a geisha. And Kyoto is lovely. Not as manic as Tokyo. And it felt more real than Tokyo.

- When and how did you buy the ticket?
- We bought it in December through F1 Ticket online.

- Means of transportation/time required to/from Suzuka
- We arrived from the Philippines, rented a car, drove from Tokyo Haneda to Nagoya for the Airbnb, and then from Nagoya to Suzuka. We just drove by and saw signs for parking. We kept the parking for three days, 9000yen. From the parking, it's a 10-minute walk.

- Nagoya. We booked it through Booking.com.
- Means of transportation/time required to/from Suzuka
- From Nagoya Station to Shiroko, then took a bus.

- I bought it for her as a gift. I think it was January. I bought it via F1 experience.
- Would you like to buy F1 tickets on a daily basis?
- Is it more convenient for spectators? I think people would really get THE MAIN race. Versus the three, aside from the three day pass, I think people would get the Sunday because that's the main race. But I mean, we decided to get the three day pass just because we are big fans of F1.
- Where do you stay, and how did you arrange the hotel?

From Nagoya, just up the subway and then when we got to Nagoya Kintetsu, we saw banners of F1 already. So, we are in the right place. Then when we came off Shiroko station, there were guides already telling us where to go. So very, very easy, quick.

Friday, I really liked. Friday because you can sit anywhere and see the cars in different spots. So, I really like that. That was really good.
- Where do you stay, and how did you arrange the hotel?
- Just close to the Nagoya station. There's a website called Agoda.

- When and how did you buy the ticket?
- 2 months ago via online.
- Would you like to buy F1 tickets on a daily basis?
- Maybe, Saturday and Sunday are convenient to buy together. Maybe, not Friday, but it's worthwhile coming up for the qualifying, even though it's only for an hour or so. But, maybe, 2 days will be quite convenient. Not sure about three, maybe, separately.
- Where do you stay, and how did you arrange the hotel?
- Just like online, like Google hotels or booking.com or just a regular website. It's very hard to find accommodation. We have to book multiple days because there's limited availability.
