Kabuki actor Ichikawa Danjuro has been appointed as the official ambassador for the FORMULA 1 JAPANESE GRAND PRIX.
He will perform a Kabuki dance at the opening ceremony before the final race.

Suzuka Circuit will appoint kabuki actor Danjuro Ichikawa as the official ambassador for the FORMULA 1 JAPANESE GRAND PRIX.

Suzuka Circuit serves as the stage for the world's premier automobile racing series, FORMULA 1 JAPANESE GRAND PRIX, enhancing the value of Japan and the Japanese Grand Prix, and working to attract new fans by promoting Japanese culture and beauty, as well as Japan's motorsports culture. As part of this initiative, we will welcome Kabuki actor Danjuro Ichikawa as the official ambassador to further promote Japan's traditional culture and bring a fresh perspective to F1 culture in Japan.

Additionally, during the opening ceremony before the final race of the FORMULA 1 JAPANESE GRAND PRIX held at Suzuka Circuit on April 6, 2025 (Sun), a Kabuki dance performance by Danjuro Ichikawa will be presented.
