Notice of Class Setting Changes (2025 and onwards)

The Advance Selection Meeting for the Kart Class and Formula Class will be closed as of 2024, and a new "Formula Class Selection Course" will be established.

This is a course that uses karts and formula machines to learn the skills required after entering the Formula class Advance Course.
We aim to improve skills through three events (two days each, for a total of six days).
Among the participants of this course, outstanding individuals (up to 8 people) will be granted the right to enroll in the Formula class Advance Kart course the following year.

To enroll in the 2026 Formula Class Advance Course, it is necessary to take the selection course in 2025.
If you are living overseas or cannot take the selection course for other reasons, please contact us individually.

What is HRS Suzuka?

Foster athletes who excel in world-class motorsports

This is a racing school supervised by Honda Racing, with the aim of nurturing riders and drivers who are active both domestically and internationally.

We have a system that can provide comprehensive instruction from the school to practical training,
aiming to develop players who can compete at the top level both mentally and physically,
not only in riding/driving skills but also in terms of human qualities.

Japan plays an important role in various motorsports scenes, such as research and development of high-performance machines and hosting world championships.
As a result, young people in Japan have started to show their talents in the world of motorsports.

Suzuka Circuit, which has hosted motorsports such as F1, has been ahead of its time and opened the "Suzuka Circuit Racing School Junior (now HRS Suzuka Moto Class)" in 1992.

Next, in 1993, the next generation driver development institution
"Suzuka Circuit Racing School Cart (currently HRS Suzuka Kart class)"
and in 1995, the only full-fledged formula driver development in Japan at the time
"Suzuka Circuit Racing School Formula (currently HRS Suzuka Formula class)" was opened.

Currently, we are producing many players who are active in top categories both in Europe and Asia, as well as domestically and internationally.

: Moto Class Principal; Tadayuki Okada; Tadayuki Okada; At our school, we aim to develop riders who can excel in the IATC^※1, which is a gateway to becoming a future MotoGP™ rider. The "Moto Class Basic Course" is primarily focused on training with the CBR250R on the South Course, where you will learn the basics. The following year, we will select top-performing students to advance to the Advance Course. Using the NSF250R, which is also used in the Asia Talent Cup, students will gain various experiences through activities such as the Suzuka Sunday Road Race and physical training. After that, some top-performing students will have the opportunity to challenge the IATC^※1 as HRS Suzuka scholarship students.
Many students aim to become MotoGP™ riders when they enroll, but there are also students who want to learn from the basics. We will teach you the basics such as braking, clutch operation, and how to use your body to lean the bike, so please rest assured. For students who want to compete in races, we not only focus on technical skills, but also on developing their expressive abilities to convey something on the world stage. We carefully assess each student's goals, problems, and obstacles, and provide them with appropriate guidance.
Some of our graduates are still competing in the top JSB1000 class in Japan, and some are even competing on the world stage. Having a goal makes a person stronger. Many students have set even higher goals after enrolling.

Note 1: Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup

: Kart/Formula Class Principal; Takuma Sato; Takuma Sato; Racing karts are the first gateway to motorsports, and even professional racing drivers use them for training. Basically, karts are very simple machines with only tires, frames, and engines. Since there is no complex structure at all, it is perfect for training in racing skills and driving karts.
In the Basic Course, students learn the basics of driving and through racing, they gain strength and move up to the Advance Class. This is the main feature. In the Advance Class, students ride karts in the morning and formula cars in the afternoon. Even in the regular kart classes, students can race with professional drivers who have experienced the world. There is so much to learn and I believe there is no better environment to improve oneself.
The greatest appeal of the Formula class is that top Honda drivers who are active in various races, including Super Formula, and instructors who have seen the world are always watching. And it is a stage where you can find and improve your own problems, such as the challenges that come out in school and the problems found in races.
For drivers who have worked hard and achieved good results, the next level of the world awaits. Even if you are unable to achieve good results, there are students who continue to practice and train without giving up, and try again the following year. Let's aim for the world together, believing in our own potential!

Step Up FlowAim for the Goal

At HRS Suzuka (Honda Racing School Suzuka), we have 3 classes: Moto for 2 wheels, Kart/Formula for 4 wheels, and Moto Mini. We provide comprehensive instruction from school to actual competition, and nurture riders and drivers. For the Moto/Formula class, we have introduced a scholarship system, and riders and drivers who pass the selection process will advance to the top categories in Japan and abroad. They will aim to challenge the top of the world.
